Some of my favorite low-FODMAP snacks

My absolute favorite thing is to to go to the grocery store and try new products! When I affirmed my love of Sauerkraut this meant I had a whole shelf in my fridge of fermented cabbage – so let me spare you the money, time and smell! Here I present my top 3 market picks of the moment – all digestively friendly (low-FODMAP) snacks:

Toasted Coconut Chips, Vietnamese Cinnamon Swirl
Brand: Made in Nature
Ingredients: Organic Dried Coconut Strips, Organic Maple Syrup, Organic Vanilla Bean Extract, Organic Vietnamese Cinnamon, Sea Salt.
Highlight Nutrition Information: 5 grams of fiber, 5 grams of sugar in ½ cup serving.
Also, these delicious crunchy sweet and sort-of savory delicious ‘chips’ are suitable for a low-FODMAP diet – hooray!

Mary's Gone Crackers, Original
Brand: Mary’s Gone Crackers
Ingredients: Whole Grain Brown Rice, Whole Grain Quinoa, Brown Flax Seeds, Brown Sesame Seeds, Filered Water, Sea Salt, Wheat free tamari (water, whole organic soybeans, salt, vinegar).
Highlighted Nutrition Information: 4 grams of fiber, 0 grams of sugar in 13 crackers.
These crackers are a classic. I almost didn’t include them because I felt that they are sooo good, and such a staple in my home that everyone must know about them already? But then I thought I cannot deprive my readers that might be new to embarking on a gluten-free, or low-FODMAP lifestyle, and you must know about Mary’s Gone Crackers. Yes, the company has a ton of new products (including pretzels, cookies) but these crackers are an anything-but-boring basic. Excellent pairing with guacamole, hummus, nut butters – not all at the same time!

Peanut Butter Macro Bar MINI
Brand: GoMacro
Ingredients: Organic Brown Rice Syrup, Organic Peanut Butter, Organic Sprouted Brown Rice Protein, Organic Puffed Brown Rice, Organic Peanuts.
Highlighted Nutrition Information: 5g protein, 5g sugar
It’s so hard to find the perfect bar – and true, we don’t all agree on what makes perfect. But these bars are an excellent digestive friendly snack. Really, they are a good snack for anyone – I prefer the miniature sized bars, because the full-size are more like a meal replacement. True, you could cut up the full sized bar into thirds – but it’s hard to show that kind of self-control when you have something so tasty in front of you.
